August 2012 Update:
During the recent soft go-lives at all campuses, Methodist has gained valuable insight into the clinical workflows related to computerized provider order entry (CPOE) and evidence-based order sets (EBOS). Based on physician feedback, considerable improvements are being made to optimize the CPOE ordering experience. In addition, Methodist currently has high patient volumes at most campuses, which impacts the availability of CPOE support staff.
Methodist is committed to establishing a CPOE deployment timeline that provides safe and effective care for our patients, combined with the best CPOE support for our providers and clinicians.To provide the necessary CPOE support staff, and to further optimize the CPOE ordering experience, we are adjusting the CPOE go-live dates at some Methodist campuses.
New CPOE go-live dates are listed on the “EHR Info” tab above.
